A video has surfaced on the internet purportedly showing Egyptian troops firing on a crowd of demonstrators marching in support of President Mohamed Morsi, the former Egyptian president who was ousted on Wednesday in a military coup. Early reports claim that four demonstrators were killed and 13 injured after troops opened fire.
Those protesters, marching in the northern Egyptian city of Marsa Matrouh, were showing their support for Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood when they were attacked by Egyptian troops. The military claims that they fired non-lethal weapons like tear gas and rubber bullets and are not responsible for any bloodshed.
